Maria Menounos

Maria helped her mother suffering from stage four brain cancer. Maria was able to recognize that she was suffering from the middle of a health crisis. In February 2014 Menounos started experiencing troubling symptoms. "I'd felt lightheaded when I was on set and had migraines" she told PEOPLE in the magazine's new exclusive cover story. My speech was becoming slow and was also having trouble understanding the teleprompter. Menounos had been diagnosed as having a large meningioma brain tumor. A MRI confirmed this. Menounos booked an appointment with her mom's physician, famous Neurosurgeon Dr. Keith L. Black to schedule surgery for June 8th, her 39th birthday. "He advised me, 'I'm 99 percent certain it's normal, but it will be determined once we're in the hospital and see what happens,'" she says. The complicated procedure took around seven hours. Dr. Black was capable of taking out 99.9% of the benign cancer. "He stated that there's a six to seven percent likelihood that we'll have it come back," she says. Yet, I'll take these odds any day. Menounos has returned home from her hospital stay for six days. She is currently recuperating and spending the company of Litsa the mother of her. Litsa's recent MRI confirms that she is not suffering from cancer. Maria Maria Maria
