Emily Mortimer
Emily Mortimer, a British actress and screenwriter is known for her significant contributions to Hollywood films. Mortimer, a theater graduate with a remarkable legacy boasts a humble personality. Mortimer was the main character in "Mary's Returns," a follow-up to 1964's cult musical "Mary Poppins." This role marked an important milestone in her career. She was a quirky French associate in the films starring Pink Panther as well as an ambitious and powerful news editor for the show 'The Newsroom'. Emily Kathleen Anne Mortimer, born in Hammersmith in the year 1971, on the 1st December to famous barrister and writer Sir John Mortimer, and Penelope Gollop she is the child of Penelope Gollop and a well-known writer. Emily has a number of siblings. She has a half-brother, Jeremy, and one half-sister Sally, both from her father's earlier marriage to author Penelope Fletcher. Rosie the younger sister is named. Additionally, she has a half brother known as Ross Bentley, from her father's romance with actor Wendy Craig. Mortimer attended the St Paul's Girls' School (London) where she studied. After graduating at Oxford University in 1994 where she studied English at Lincoln College and Russian, she was enrolled in the Moscow Arts Theatre Drama School to pursue a degree in acting.
