In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone portrayed inmate 'Lorna Morello' in Orange Is the New Black. Yael holds a master's diploma from NIDA. Yael had the privilege to be able from an early age to have worked with the best storytellers and performers in Australia and creative directors in the film, TV and theatre industries. Yael's career is rich throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael has relocated from Australia to New York City after the Brooklyn Academy of the Music's production of the play had an enormous achievement. Yael has co-founded The Cannery. Working from a studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the The Cannery promotes new writing and inventive, innovative ventures.
