Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actress who was born on the 31st of January 1974. She is best known for her role as Bo from the Showcase television show Lost Girl. Silk is an actor from Canada born in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Ilkay who is director of drama and producer of drama and production at St. Thomas University, is Silk's mother. Her father, Peter is an academic. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Some of Anna's earliest memories include going to the play school as well as watching her mother do the do her job. Silk was featured in many commercials when she was an infant. She earned a Bachelors in Arts at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least two early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk relocated out of Toronto to Los Angeles during the decade following 1999. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007, when they met at an Actorsworkshop located in Los Angeles. They got engaged in 2009 and were married at a civil ceremony that December. The couple got married in Fredericton on April 10, 2011, they renewed vows, following Silk's change of religion to Judaism. Silk Cooperman had a baby boy, her son, Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May 2013. Levi Aaron, her second son was born on May 13, 2016. Silk's television work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica and she won a Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009, she was cast as Bo Dennis, the lead role of Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk became pregnant during filming of season three's finale, and revealed this to the viewers during Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20, 2013 that she's ready to go back to working. On June 4, 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially revealed the launch of production of the fourth season. CNN Cable News Network named Bo together with Lauren Zoie Palmer as the same-sex couple on Lost Girl to be one of their top TV Couples of all time. E! Magazine declared them Top TV Couples of 2013 Entertainment Television. Silk is one of the most watched shows on social media.
